New Avengers image released online

The Avengers arrives in UK cinemas in just a matter of months, and Marvel have whetted our appetites still further with the release of a shiny new image featuring three of the team preparing for action.


The new shot shows Captain America striding purposefully towards the camera, flanked by SHIELD operatives Hawkeye and Black Widow. Pretty badass, we think you’ll agree…

Okay, I’ve decided I like the new Cap uniform, but I HATE the mask… Something about it just don’t fit with the rest of the outfit. Maybe it’s that the uniform is matt but the mask/helmet has a sheen to it, I don’t know… it just looks “off”.

I love the suit but I know what you mean about the helmet. I think it’s because the wings don’t stick out, it’s too flat…

It’s odd, because it’s quite similar to his WW2 outfit, except for the covered neck and no chin strap, but I LOVED the WW2 uniform and can’t see why I have a strong negative reaction to this!

I think I’d like it better if Cap had a similar neckline to Hawkeye’s uniform and his mask would then look like it was a proper separate helmet…
